A little Goo Gone on a rag saves furniture finds from sticker residue nightmares
Honestly my best dumpster dive tip is keeping a bottle of Goo Gone in the car. I pulled this solid oak nightstand from a curb in Austin last month and it was plastered with those sticky price tags and tape residue from some yard sale. Rubbing alcohol barely touched it but a few dabs of Goo Gone with a microfiber cloth had it off in under 5 minutes without damaging the finish. Anyone else got a go-to for cleaning up sticky gunk on wood?

Used Goo Gone on a similar nasty sticker mess I found on a vintage dresser from a garage sale, worked like a charm and didn't mess up the veneer at all.

Same here, Goo Gone is a lifesaver for curb finds.

Oh man, Goo Gone is basically magic for curb finds! I pulled a beat up nightstand off the street last month that was covered in some gross sticky tape residue and a bunch of random stickers. That stuff took it right off without damaging the wood finish at all, and now it's one of my favorite pieces.
