She said 'I get more regulars from the yoga studio next door than any online ad.' Made me realize our network events should focus more on physical neighbors, not just industry groups. Anyone else find their best connections come from businesses right down the street?

That's true, but online ads still bring in new people.

Totally get that. The coffee shop next to my old office was our best referral source. We'd send clients there for meetings and they'd send their morning crowd straight to us. It just works differently than online stuff. That face to face trust builds up fast when you share a sidewalk every day.
