Hit 5000 LinkedIn connections last week and it was a total wake up call

I crossed 5000 connections on the Edmonton Business Network group and realized I only actually talk to maybe 30 of them. The rest are just names I don't recognize. Made me think about quality over quantity for actually getting leads here in town. Anyone else feel like the number game is a waste?

Totally get that. I hit 2000 on my Instagram business page last month and was stoked until I realized I only recognize like 50 of them from local networking events. The rest are just bots or people I added because they followed me first.
