Serious question, my networking group's attendance doubled after we moved from a coffee shop to a brewery.

We used to meet at a cafe on Whyte Ave and had maybe 15 regulars, but after switching to a spot on 104th Street with a casual happy hour vibe, we're hitting 30 people every month. Honestly, I think the later time and relaxed setting just works better for folks after work. Has anyone else seen a big change just from switching up the venue?

Makes sense, a brewery just feels more social after work.

The rebrand from "networking" to "beer" was a masterstroke.

So the brewery is clearly pulling people in. But I'm curious, did you change anything else when you moved? Like the day of the week, or how you talk about the group online? I wonder if calling it a "happy hour" now instead of a "networking meetup" changes who shows up.
