Went back and forth on Chamber of Commerce membership for months
I run a small personal training studio in the west end, and I kept going back and forth about joining the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. The networking events seemed like a decent idea, but the $350 annual fee felt steep for a business my size. What finally convinced me was talking to another fitness studio owner down in Old Strathcona who said the member directory alone brought in 4 new clients during their first 3 months. So I signed up back in September, and honestly I think it's paying off. I've been to two morning mixers now and already connected with an office manager looking to start a corporate wellness program. Has anyone else here found the Chamber membership worth the money for a solo operation?

Yo @gavin692 I was wondering about the west end scene too! The thing nobody talks about is how Chamber members can get discounts on stuff like liability insurance and payroll services, which for a solo operator like us adds up fast. That $350 basically pays for itself if you save even a bit on those costs.
