That $7 CH341A programmer from Amazon actually fixed a dead router I was about to toss

I was fully expecting it to be junk but after flashing the corrupted BIOS chip on a TP-Link Archer C7 I had sitting in my closet for 6 months it booted right up, has anyone else had surprisingly good luck with super cheap gear or did I just get lucky?

@gavin692 yeah totally, my buddy mark had a similar thing happen with a dirt cheap USB sound card from aliexpress. like $2 and it actually worked on an old laptop where the audio jack broke off. he was so sure it was gonna be a piece of junk but it got him through a zoom meeting that afternoon lol. sometimes you just get lucky i guess
