Hot take: Fixing hoistway doors in my shed beats shop time any day.
I set up a bench to tweak door rollers after hours. It lets me spot wear patterns you miss on a rushed call. Who else uses home space for real repair work?

Used to think the same as Keith, lol. But grabbing a spare panel to mess with in the garage completely changed my view. Having good light and zero time pressure lets you actually see how the whole alignment shifts. You notice the little stuff that gets missed when a super is breathing down your neck. Turns a frustrating call into a simple puzzle you can solve.

Hold up, you're fixing actual hoistway doors in your shed? Ngl that's wild to me. How do you even get a full door assembly out there to work on?
