I finally figured out why the door operator was jamming

My neighbor's sliding door had a similar issue last month. It's crazy how such a small piece of debris can totally mess up the whole system. I've seen it happen with garage doors too, where ignoring the tracks leads to bigger repairs. Cleaning before every adjustment might seem like overkill, but it honestly saves so much hassle later. Yeah, that part about it "seeming like overkill" is exactly how I used to feel. I'd just tweak the rollers on my patio door and ignore the grit in the track. Then one day it jammed so bad I thought the wheel broke. Cleaning out a little pile of sand and dead bugs fixed it instantly. Now I keep a brush nearby and do a quick sweep first every single time.
