I used to think the old Otis Gen2 belts were just fine until a job in Portland last month
We swapped out the original belts on a 2010 unit for the newer red stripe ones after a call back for a rough ride. The difference in vibration after 3 weeks was huge, you could feel it just standing in the car. The building manager said tenants stopped complaining about noise. Has anyone else seen a big change like that from just a belt upgrade?

Disagree with hollyl45 a bit, I mean sometimes the old belts look okay but just get hard. Had a job where the old ones weren't cracked but felt like stiff rubber, swapped them and the car just smoothed right out. Maybe the material breaks down inside where you can't see.
