Just had the worst week of my career on a MCE MOD job in Cleveland
Three car jams in five days from a faulty door lock switch that the manufacturer swore was tested, and I lost over 20 hours of overtime fixing the same damn problem each time because the service tool kept giving false clearances - has anyone else seen this on a 2023 MCE controller?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, yeah three jams in five days sucks but calling it the worst week of your career sounds a little dramatic. Those MCE controllers are finicky but they usually settle down after a few cycles. Did you try swapping the door lock switch entirely instead of just clearing faults? Sometimes the fix is just throwing a new part at it instead of trusting the test reports from the manufacturer.

Swapping the part blindly instead of trusting the test results? In my experience, that's pretty much standard procedure half the time anyway. Those MCE controllers are like moody teenagers, sometimes they just need a good scare with a new sensor to straighten up. Call it the worst week of your career? Man, I've had a Tuesday that made that look like a vacation day, but your mileage may vary on what counts as dramatic. Holly's probably got a point about the door lock switch though, those things lie through their teeth on diagnostic reports.

Has anyone actually tried reseating the connector on the MCE board after a jam, not just clearing the fault?
