My wife asked me why I was so stressed about a routine inspection at the hospital downtown last Tuesday.
She said, 'You keep people moving safely every single day, that's a big deal,' and for the first time, I felt proud of the stress instead of just tired from it.

Yeah, that's a cool shift. Did you actually see the inspectors looking at your work, or was it all in your head before?

That's the thing, right? Sometimes you need someone else to point out the weight of what you carry before you can feel the strength it took to carry it. Her words probably let you see the stress as proof you care, not just a problem to deal with. It turns the whole feeling inside out.
