Tried local meetups vs online groups for 6 months and the winner was clear
I spent 3 months going to local chamber of commerce meetups here in Austin and another 3 months in niche Facebook groups. The in-person stuff was all stiff handshakes and elevator pitches that went nowhere. Online groups got me actual warm introductions and 2 solid partnerships within weeks. Has anyone else found that targeted online communities beat broad local events?

Haha totally fair @dakota_patel98, but my stiff handshakes mostly just got me a lot of weird looks and one guy asking if I needed a napkin lol. I was out here gripping like I was trying to squeeze the life out of a lemon, not make a good impression. Glad it worked out for you though, wish I had that magic touch instead of looking like I'm arm wrestling my future boss.
