A spa in Denver made me rethink my entire approach to extractions
I watched a senior esthetician there do a full facial without ever using her nails, just these angled metal tools and constant steam. She cleared a stubborn blackhead in under 10 seconds that would have taken me a minute of pressure. Anyone have a favorite brand for those tools that doesn't cost a fortune?

Honestly, that sounds like a great way to wreck your skin. Those metal tools are no joke. You need serious training to use them right, or you can scar your pores and cause way more damage than a blackhead. I've seen people try it at home and end up with broken capillaries and inflamed skin for weeks. Sometimes the old-fashioned, gentle way is the safer bet.

But is it really that big of a deal?

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. I tried using one of those loop tools on a stubborn spot and ended up with a dark red mark that took over a month to fade. Now I just stick to a warm washcloth to soften things up first, and gentle pressure with my fingertips if anything comes to a head.
