Finally switched to oil-based cleansers after 8 years of using micellar water on oily skin
My face stopped looking like a grease slick by 2 PM, but I had to wash my pillowcases twice a week for the first month so has anyone else dealt with that transition period?

Oh man, the pillowcase struggle is real. I switched over a year ago and that first month was basically a laundry war zone. My face was purging like crazy too, little bumps I didn't even know I had just showed up and got angry. It takes a while for your skin to figure out what's happening when you stop stripping all the oil away with micellar water. The thing nobody tells you is that your skin has to unlearn being overproductive with oil once you give it a gentle cleanse instead. Stick with it though, because now my face stays matte way longer and I only change pillowcases once a week like a normal person.

Wait ONCE a week?! 😳 I'm over here doing laundry every other day like a psycho, you're telling me there's hope for a normal life? That's literally the dream right there.

Did you ever try just flipping the pillowcase inside out for a second night? My sister swears by that and she's got skin like glass. @sean_torres71 I still change mine every three days cause my cat sleeps on my pillow, but that first purge month had me questioning everything too.
