Heads up about the facial room at that new spa off Broad Street

I went to check out a new spa that opened two weeks ago downtown and I noticed the facial room didn't have a sink near the bed. Like they expected me to haul hot towels and products from the back hallway every time. I asked the owner about it and she said they ran out of budget for plumbing. Just a heads up if you're scouting new spots to work or refer clients, make sure you actually walk through the treatment rooms first. Has anyone else dealt with a setup like this?

A sink is bare minimum, walk away from that one.

I totally agree with you. "A sink is bare minimum" really says it all. If they can't even offer that, it's a red flag and you're better off moving on.

Wait, did she actually say they ran out of budget for plumbing? That sounds like a major red flag beyond just missing a sink. Like, who plans a whole spa facial room and forgets to budget for the pipes? Makes me wonder what else they cut corners on, you know? Did you happen to check if the room has proper ventilation or a place to store clean linens? I'd be worried about mold or cross-contamination if they're hauling wet towels back and forth through a hallway. Probably worth asking if they plan to add plumbing later or if that's just the permanent setup.
