Spilled hot wax on a client's arm during a brow wax at a spa in Denver last month
That moment taught me to always double-check my wax temperature with a wrist test first, and has anyone else had a close call with a new wax warmer brand that runs way too hot?

but seriously that wrist test is a LIFE SAVER. I had a hot wax spill situation a few years back where the new brand I tried was literally boiling on the low setting. My client jerked away and got a tiny burn but mostly just the shock of it was worse than the actual mark. I now keep a little notepad with all the temps that work for each brand I use because they're ALL different. The wrist test is good but I also started testing a small amount on my inner arm first before I even let it near a client's face.
