That one client in Portland changed my mind about lash lifts
She came in with these super straight lashes and asked for a lift, I told her it probably wouldn't hold, but she insisted - after 45 minutes the curl actually stayed. Has anyone else had a client prove you wrong about a treatment?
...and you know what, I had something kind of similar happen with a friend's mom and hair toner. She has this weird grayish-green tone (think swamp water) and I kept saying toner wouldn't fix it unless she bleached first. She just sat there while I slapped on the toner and it actually neutralized it in like 10 minutes. Still don't know how that worked, but sometimes clients just have better luck than me.
45 minutes is asking for trouble. I've seen what happens when people leave chemicals on lashes too long, it's not pretty. @davis.ruby talked about that toner thing hitting just right, and sometimes that's the case here too. But that's way out of the recommended window and a recipe for breakage. Better to go low and slow if anything.
