Cleaned out my glove box and found 37 old parking tickets

I was cleaning my car and pulled out a stack of papers from the glove box. I started counting them and got to 37, all from the same parking garage downtown over the past few years. It hit me that I've been paying that $8 fee nearly every time I go there without even thinking. Has anyone else found a weird number that shows a habit they didn't know they had?

Honestly never thought about it like that until @dakota_patel98 pointed out the difference between receipts and violations, now I'm kinda freaking out about what's actually in my glove box. Did you check if yours were paid or unpaid yet?

Wait, are those unpaid tickets? Because if you just found them in your glove box, that means you never actually paid the $8 fee, you just got the ticket and stuffed it away. That habit is gonna cost you a ton in late fees, my friend. You need to check if those are the receipts you get after paying or the actual violation tickets. If they're violations, you've probably got a massive bill waiting.

Ever notice how many people treat small problems like parking tickets like they'll just vanish if ignored? I've seen friends do this with library fines or small bills, then get shocked when it snowballs into a huge hassle later. It's like we're wired to avoid tiny pains now, even if it means way bigger pain down the road.
