I walked through the old cemetery on Elm Street yesterday and saw something that made me think.

I always thought those places were just sad and quiet. But I noticed a headstone from 1898 that had fresh flowers on it. Someone still visits after all this time. It hit me that a person isn't really gone if people still remember them. Does anyone else have a spot like that near them?

Ever see a grave with a bunch of coins on it? There's a Civil War soldier in the town over who gets pennies left on his stone. Makes you wonder about his story, right?

Actually saw that soldier's grave last year, @keith_rivera19, and I mean it just felt like litter to me. People leave the pennies but nobody ever cleans them up, so it just looks messy. Maybe the story is he'd rather have people just remember him quietly.
