My friend saw a man just sitting there too, and it turned out he was waiting for his lost dog to come back.

Was he just sitting there looking around, or did he seem really focused on something specific? Like was he scanning the tree line or checking the same spot over and over? That kind of detail usually tells you if someone's just relaxing or if they're actually waiting for something to happen.
