Overheard my neighbor say 'I'll just figure it out later' about her leaky faucet for the third time this week.

It hit me that I do the exact same thing with small problems, letting them pile up until they're a big mess. Now I'm trying to fix one small thing right away each day, like tightening a loose cabinet knob or filing a single paper. Does anyone else have a trick for not putting off tiny fixes?

Read something once about the "two minute rule". If a fix takes less than two minutes, just do it right then. Helps stop the pile up.

Totally get that. My sink used to be a disaster zone with dishes piling up because I'd think "I'll do them later." Now if I finish a coffee, I just rinse the mug right away. Takes twenty seconds. Same with junk mail, I open it over the trash can and recycle it immediately. It sounds small, but not letting those tiny tasks stack up completely changed my kitchen.

Ugh why is it SO easy to let the tiny stuff slide? I have a wobbly table leg I've been meaning to fix for months and I just walk past it. Your idea to do one small thing a day is actually brilliant, it feels way less scary than facing the whole pile. I might steal that.
