Pro tip: Don't buy those 'premium' windshield wiper blades from the truck stop in Amarillo
I dropped $45 on a pair last month and they started streaking worse than my old ones after the first rain. Anyone know a brand that actually lasts more than a few weeks on the road?

I always thought paying more meant better quality, but those Amarillo blades proved me wrong. My old Rain-X ones from the auto parts store lasted almost two years of cross-country driving. Now I just check the rubber for stiffness right in the store before I buy anything. It's crazy how a simple feel test can save you from that awful streaking. What do you look for when you pick out new wipers?

My buddy got the same ones on a run to Dallas. His truck looked like a smeared mess after one good storm. What a waste of cash.

Check the date code on the package before you buy. I grabbed some "premium" ones that were already three years old on the shelf. The rubber was totally dried out before I even put them on.
