Rant: A quiet morning at the library completely changed how I start my day
I was at the main branch downtown last Tuesday, just trying to get out of the house, and I saw a guy just sitting there with his coffee, not even looking at a book. He was just staring out the window for like twenty minutes. It hit me that I haven't just sat and done nothing, without my phone, in maybe a decade. How do you even begin to build that kind of quiet into a normal schedule?

Consider if you truly need to schedule doing nothing.

Exactly. It feels like we've turned every spare minute into a task. Even "relaxing" has to be planned and optimized now, which totally misses the point.
