I've been making my grandma's biscuit recipe wrong for 15 years
I was visiting my cousin in Atlanta last month and watched her make them, and she used cold buttermilk straight from the fridge. I'd been using room temperature for a decade and a half, and my biscuits were always flat. That one thing changed everything. Has anyone else had a family recipe secret revealed like that?

Honestly, how much difference can cold buttermilk really make? Carter.gavin might be onto something with the secret test idea. Seems like a lot of fuss over a small detail.
