Shoutout to my aunt's all-day chili recipe

She swears it needs to cook for 6 hours to taste right, but I found that 2 hours with a bit more spice gives the same cozy feel without the wait. I think holding onto super long cook times can make family cooking feel like a chore instead of a joy. Have you ever shortened a beloved recipe and still kept the memory alive?

Tbh some flavors need that slow cook time to really develop though.

Totally, chili is the perfect example of that. Mine always tastes way better after simmering for a few hours. That extra time just makes all the difference.

My last chili disaster proves @the_ivan's point, but mostly because I forgot about the stirring part.
