Had the worst week of shoeing last fall, then one day turned it around

I was struggling with a set of 4 barn sour thoroughbreds in Ocala, couldn't get a single hind foot done without a fight. Then I switched to a lighter rasp and worked slower on the last mare, and she stood like a rock for all four shoes. Anybody else find that changing a tiny tool detail helps with the tough ones?

Read something about Farrier's formula rasp being softer and grabbing better on nervous horses. Might be worth a try for those Ocala thoroughbreds.

Hell yeah, totally agree. That rasp is a game changer for the jumpy ones.

Man that Farrier's formula works great, I used it on an edgy mare and it settled her right down.
