Serious question, are we overthinking the whole 'mustang roll' thing for sport horses?

I tried a standard quarter round on a jumper's hind feet for a season instead, and the owner reported fewer slips on grass. Anyone else find the classic roll isn't always the best answer?

Quarter rounds aren't a mustang roll, they're a different trim.

People get so hung up on the names. The real question is if it looks good on the car, who cares what you call it.

Oh, that's a good point. A quarter round is definitely a different shape from a true mustang roll. It makes sense that it would give better grip on grass.
