I finally chose between a draped neckline and a structured collar for my new dress design.

I went with the draped silk after a friend said it looked more 'effortlessly cool', and honestly, it saved me a whole day of pattern drafting. Has anyone else found that a simple comment can totally decide a design direction for you?

Honestly, it's just a dress neckline. How much can one comment really change the whole thing? Seems like you were already leaning that way.

My friend was set on a bright red car until her dad said it looked like a fire truck. She bought a gray one the next day. Sometimes a single comment is the push you need.

That kind of outside opinion can really get in your head. It plants a seed that grows way too fast. Suddenly you see the fire truck, not the car you loved.
