A job in Tacoma last month showed me why you never skip the post hole digger check
We had a crew of three on a big vinyl fence install, and the rental digger's hydraulic line blew on the second hole. The replacement unit took four hours to arrive from the other side of the county. We lost the whole day's schedule and had to eat the labor cost. Has anyone found a good way to pressure test rental equipment before you leave the yard?

Man, that's brutal. Had a compactor die halfway through a driveway base last summer, you ever try to quick-check the oil before you load up?

Ever have that moment where you just know you should check something but you're already running late? I've learned the hard way that the five minutes it takes to look things over can save a whole day of trouble. Nothing worse than a dead machine when you're already on site.

Did you manage to get it running again with a jumpstart or were you stuck walking back to the truck?
