Just realized my old truck's winch could pull a 40-foot section of fence line straight in under an hour when the ground was too wet for the skid steer.

I was stuck on a muddy job site in Springfield and a farmer watching me said, 'Why don't you just winch it from the other side,' so I hooked a cable to my anchor posts and it worked perfectly, saving a whole day's wait for things to dry out.

That's the kind of simple fix that would have taken me two days of cussing at the mud to figure out. My brain always goes for the most complicated machine solution first. Gotta love when a local with some common sense saves your bacon.

Classic farmer move lol. They've been solving problems with cable and stubbornness since before we had machines to get stuck.
