Rant: Should you really skip a home inspection to make your offer more competitive?
After losing out on three houses in Austin last spring because my offers with inspection contingencies got rejected, I'm wondering if waiving the inspection is a smart move or just setting yourself up for a nightmare, what do you all think?

Hell yeah get a pre-inspection instead, way less risky.

I've been burned so many times by my own DIY "inspections" I found a crack in the foundation and still called it a "unique feature." Honestly I'd rather risk a money pit than relive that anxiety again.
