Ngl, I found a way to stop vinyl planks from buckling near exterior walls.
Honestly, I was on a job last week where the vinyl flooring kept lifting near the patio door. Tbh, I realized the sun was heating that spot all day, so I started using a UV-resistant underlayment there. Has anyone else dealt with this, or am I overthinking it?

But what if the underlayment just hides the real problem, like bad install or moisture from the door itself?

Yeah that's a good point. We had that happen with our patio door last year, the underlayment bubbled up. Turned out the door seal was totally shot and letting water in every time it rained. Had to replace the seal and dry everything out for like two days before redoing the floor. Idk, maybe get one of those moisture meters to check the slab first? Could save you from doing the job twice.
