Update: I tried a new glue for a vinyl plank job in Phoenix last month
The bottle said it was a fast grab adhesive, but it actually set slower than my old brand and made the planks slide around when I was putting weight on them. Has anyone else had this happen with a glue that didn't act like the label said it would?

Oh man, don't get me started on glue labels. I swear they write those things with a magic eight ball. Had one last year that was supposed to be slow set, but it grabbed like it was in a hurry to get home.

My buddy used a "quick set" epoxy on his fishing rod and had to hold it together for like 40 minutes. He was so mad he almost threw the whole thing in the lake.

Ugh, tell me about it! I had a "quick grab" epoxy that took forever to set, so I feel your pain. The labels are basically just suggestions at this point.

Seriously, it's like they just pick times at random. I bought a "5-minute" craft glue once that was still wet after an hour (I timed it, out of spite). Meanwhile, a wood glue I got for a big project set so fast I barely got the pieces lined up. The worst part is you can't even trust the same brand twice.
