Update: My uncle won't stop moving the tools around
I'm laying carpet at my parents' place this weekend. He keeps rearranging my knife and seamer so he can 'help organize'. Has anyone found a nice way to tell family to just let you work?
Okay, but is this a thing he always does, or only when you're trying to get stuff done? Like, does he have a need to feel useful or something? My aunt used to do the same thing with my homework... drove me nuts. Maybe you could give him a specific, simple job to keep him busy?
Ugh, that is the actual worst. Honestly, my own chaos is so bad I'd probably thank him and then spend twenty minutes looking for the knife I put down myself. Maybe just tell him you need everything in your 'system', even if your system is just throwing stuff on the floor where you can see it.
