A bride's mom told me my bouquets looked 'too perfect' last season

She said they looked like they came from a store, not a garden. I was kind of annoyed at first, but I thought about it. Now I leave a few stems a bit longer, or turn a leaf the other way on purpose. It gives them a just-picked feel that people really like. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you change a small detail?

A client told me to redo a whole tile floor because ONE grout line was a millimeter off. A MILLIMETER. They used a ruler and everything. The entire room was perfect except for that spot. I had to tear up hours of work over something nobody would ever see.

Man, that's brutal. Did you try showing them how it would look once the furniture was in? I had a guy fixate on a tiny gap once, so I put a couch leg over it in the picture and asked if he'd still pay to redo it. He backed down pretty quick when he saw how silly it was. Some people just need to see the finished room in their head.
