I thought those flower food packets were just colored sugar water

For years I never bothered with the little packets that come with wholesale orders, figuring fresh water was enough. Then my friend at the shop in Portland did a side by side test with some roses, and the stems with the food lasted a full 5 days longer. It completely changed how I prep my delivery buckets now. Has anyone else found a specific brand that works better than the generic stuff?

Wait, you mean it's not just fancy plant cocaine? Honestly though, that side-by-side test is pretty convincing, so I guess I'll stop throwing the packets straight in the trash.
