I was using the wrong kind of floral foam for years and didn't know it
I kept having centerpieces from my shop in Boise wilt way too fast, and a bride's mom finally told me point blank, 'Your flowers died before the cake was cut.' I looked it up and realized I'd been using dry foam for fresh arrangements this whole time. Has anyone else made a basic supply mistake that cost them a client?

Ouch, that's a rough way to find out. It makes you wonder what other small details we're all getting wrong without realizing it. That kind of mistake can really hurt your reputation fast, since a wedding is the worst place for a floral fail. I'd be double-checking every other supply in my shop after a wake-up call like that.

Check if your supplier gave you the wrong stuff by default, that's how my buddy got burned.

Man, that's brutal to hear from a client. I can only imagine how that felt. It's crazy how one wrong item in a whole order can cause such a big problem, right? Makes you want to go check the labels on everything in the supply closet twice.
