Just realized how divided we are on holiday order prep

I saw a big split in my flower shop about how to handle the Christmas rush. Half the team likes to put together bouquets early to avoid panic. The other half says flowers wilt and we should do everything last minute for freshness. Our planning meetings have gotten tense because of this. What do you all do in your shops?

Tense planning meetings over flower prep? Honestly, both methods make sense. Early work cuts chaos, last-minute keeps things vibrant. A good shop can blend them, like doing base arrangements ahead and adding fresh flowers day-of. It's logistics, not a crisis.

Yeah, I see your point... but leaning too much on last-minute stuff can backfire. Had a friend who tried that for his wedding, and the flowers wilted because the shop was overbooked. Doing base work early saves so much stress... you can focus on details day-of. It's all about finding balance, like you said, but I'd error on the side of early prep. Less chaos means you actually enjoy the event instead of running around. Plus, vibrant flowers can still be added fresh if the base is solid.

Early prep just leaves you with dead flowers.
