Tried a new wiring technique for delicate flowers

It saved so much time and the stems held up better. What's your go-to method for fragile blooms?

That bit about the stems holding up better really hits home. It's funny how often the answer with fragile things (flowers, old books, my grandma's china) is to add more structure, not less. I've been using those clear hair elastic bands for thin stems, which sounds silly but works. I see this everywhere now, like how the best bookshelves have the most brackets, you know? We notice the pretty thing but never the little supports keeping it from falling apart.

Your hair band trick, I use twist ties on floppy flowers.

Wow @jones.nancy, like sturdy shoes needing good insoles nobody notices.

Ever tried twisting thin wire with damp moss for better hold?
