Decade-old congrats card in a manual just made my month

It was from when I first led a team project. Forgot all about it until today, lol.

Used to roll my eyes at keeping stuff like that, but finding an old note from my crew last year hit different. Makes you realize those little things actually matter.

Yeah my buddy found a birthday card from his dad in a cookbook, just a dumb joke about burning the chicken. His dad passed a few years back. He said he just sat on the kitchen floor crying, holding that card. Totally wrecked him but he said it was like getting one last laugh with him. Makes all the random stuff we save seem less crazy.

Wait it was just tucked in a manual for ten whole years? That's wild. I mean I would have lost that thing in a week, tops. What grantp28 said is totally right though, you don't get it until you find one yourself and it just stops you cold. Makes all the junk we keep make a little more sense.
