TIL a 1943 dime I found in a library book is worth more than ten cents
I mean, I always just put coins back in the book or gave them to the desk, but this one was a silver war nickel from 1943. I looked it up and it's got a decent silver value, maybe a couple bucks. Has anyone else found a coin that turned out to be a small treasure?
My grandma used to hide a 1964 quarter in her cookbook as a bookmark. I found it years later and almost spent it on a soda. Good thing I didn't, because it was the last year they made silver quarters. That thing is worth like seven bucks now. I check every old coin I find in a couch or a parking lot.
