Watching a new guy try to skim slag with a cold spoon last Thursday
He was really fighting it, and it hit me that I used to do the same thing for months before an old timer in Toledo told me to just keep the spoon in the edge of the furnace to stay hot. Anyone else have a simple trick that took way too long to learn?

Funny how the simplest fixes are always the ones we overlook for way too long @johnson.paul. Noticed that pattern everywhere now, like how people overcomplicate meal prep when the real trick is just buying less junk.
