Just realized stacking pallets sideways in my Sprinter van got me an extra 200 lbs of cargo last week

I was stuck with a bunch of light but bulky boxes for a run to Kansas City, and my boss said 'just make it fit'. Has anyone else tried this for awkward loads?

Sideways stacking is a game changer for bulky stuff. I once fit a whole apartment's worth of empty plastic bins by turning them on their side. You just have to get creative with the space you have.

Totally feel you on that. I had a bunch of those big plastic storage totes taking up my whole garage floor. Flipped them all sideways and stacked them like books on a shelf against the wall. Freed up so much room to actually walk around in there. It's amazing what a little change in angle can do.

But like, is it really that big of a deal? It's just turning a box on its side. I guess it works for empty bins, but what if you need to get into one at the bottom of the stack? Then you have to move the whole pile.
