Wasted $80 on a 'fast-dry' shellac that took three days to cure properly.

I used it on a maple dresser last week and the finish stayed tacky for ages, so has anyone found a brand that actually dries fast like it says on the can?

Ugh, been there. Is there a brand that doesn't treat "fast dry" as a fun suggestion?

Try Zinsser's SealCoat, it's the real deal.

Honestly I used to avoid shellac because I thought it was a huge pain. SealCoat actually dries fast enough that you can get two coats done in an afternoon without waiting forever. It made the whole process way less annoying. What other finishes have you tried that actually live up to their drying time claims?
