Rant: My old smartwatch bricked itself during a firmware update
It was stuck on a loading screen for 3 days straight, and I tried every reset trick online. Finally got it working after a full factory restore, which wiped all my data. Anyone know a brand that doesn't have these update nightmares?

I read an article last week that said about 15% of smartwatch returns are because of failed firmware updates. It's a huge problem across a lot of brands. The writer said it often happens when the watch battery isn't fully charged before the update starts. I always plug mine in now before hitting update, just in case. It's so frustrating to lose all your data over a software glitch.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. My old Fitbit did that exact same thing, just died during an update. I've had way better luck with Garmin watches, honestly. Their updates just seem to go smoother and they don't force them on you.
