TIL that using a come-along for minor adjustments is safer than forcing steel with a pry bar

Everyone on site swears by pry bars to move beams into place, but I saw a guy slip and nearly get hurt. I started using a small come-along for tweaks, and it's way more controlled.

Carr.elliot nailed it, we all know the safer way and still bet our fingers on the fast one. It's like we're all in a secret contest for the most creative future scar.

Funny how often people stick with the risky way because it's what they know. You see it everywhere, not just on site, like using a flimsy ladder instead of getting a taller one or balancing a load poorly to save a trip. That need for a quick fix overrides the clear chance of something going wrong. Why is the slightly harder, safer method always the last resort?

Short-term thinking overrides long-term safety every time.
