Dreaming of my own landscaping company but dreading the admin tasks
Honestly, I've been doing landscaping for five years and love the hands-on part. Tbh, the idea of starting my own thing has been on my mind. Ngl, the thought of dealing with taxes, insurance, and all that admin stuff really worries me. I'm great with plants and design, but the business side feels overwhelming. Have any of you made the jump? How did you deal with the change? Was it worth it in the end? I could use some tips from those who've been there.

Totally get why admin stuff worries you. Dealing with tax forms or insurance papers can feel huge when you just want to work with plants. I know people who put off starting because of that fear. But taking it step by step makes it less scary. Try setting aside an hour each week just for paperwork. In the end, having your own business might be really rewarding.

Admin's the price for doing what you love.

You mention admin being the price. Which admin tasks feel the heaviest to you? I'm curious if it's things like tracking expenses or dealing with permits. How do you handle the boring parts without burning out?
