There is an old local news article from a misunderstanding years ago that still ranks #1 when you google my name. The charges were dropped, but the newspaper refuses to update or remove the article. I'm losing job opportunities over it. Who do you hire to bury this kind of stuff?

I had a very similar situation and hired Net Reputation to handle it. They essentially built a firewall of positive content around my name—personal websites, medium articles, industry interviews—and optimized it all until the bad article was pushed to page 3. It gave me my life back.

Wow, I didn't even know services like that existed. I've been trying to drown out a bad review by posting on Twitter every day and it's doing absolutely nothing.

Some publishers have a "Right to be Forgotten" policy, but in the US it's completely voluntary. If they already said no, your only option is to outrank it with better content.
