TIL my try to fix my sleep backfired
I drank coffee to keep going, but it left me too awake and shaky... now I avoid caffeine after midnight.

The "too awake and shaky" part is so relatable. Midnight caffeine always backfires.

Man, that's so true! But here's something I never see people talk about. Caffeine that late doesn't just keep you up, it totally WRECKS your sleep quality. You might pass out eventually, but your brain doesn't get that deep rest it needs. Then you're a zombie all next day, which is WAY worse than being a bit shaky at night. It's a double whammy of bad choices.

Ever notice how you'll sleep after late caffeine but still feel gross the next day? That's your brain missing the deep sleep cycle. Almost worse than just being tired.
