The parking lot lights at my gym finally made my sunset pics pop

Okay so I take a lot of pics on my walks, mostly right after work around 6:30. My gym sits behind this giant empty lot, and for months the sunset shots from there looked flat and washed out. Then last Tuesday I noticed they swapped the old yellow bulbs for these bright white LEDs on the poles. Now the same sky looks like someone bumped up the contrast, the clouds have this orange to pink fade that shows up clear without me editing anything. I did not change my phone, same Pixel 6, same spot, same time. Only thing different was the light source. That got me thinking, how much do street lamps or parking lot fixtures mess with what our phone cameras pick up? Has anyone else spotted a weird jump in photo quality just because some nearby lights got replaced? Curious if it is the color temp or just the brightness doing the heavy lifting.
